Pecuarius was born as a Pathology Laboratory in the 1960s; Very soon we became an organization dedicated to research
and development of vaccines and pharmaceuticals; we are pioneers in this activity in Mexico.
With more than fifty years of service, we keep supporting the continuous growth of pecuarius production in the world.

In Pecuarius Laboratorios we are always ahead when it comes to our facilities and equipment, in order to ensure processes to comply with the highest manufacturing standards.
The functional design of the production areas of biological and pharmaceutical products and our latest technology equipment allow us to ensure optimal conditions of manufacture, as well as quality assurance.
Quality Control is based on a highly qualified team of experts, supported by the most current pharmacopoeia literature, according to national and international standards, in addition to equipment and validated instruments that provide technological support and the safety and efficacy of our products.
Research and Development
In PECUARIUS LABORATORIOS, S.A. DE C.V., Research and development activity is fundamental to our mission and vision as a company, that’s why a significant portion of our resources is allocated for their implementation.
The Pathology and Quality Control Lab is the section where most of the Research Protocols (RP) are conducted, developed by a multidisciplinary team.
We also work in partnership with the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON, its acronym in Spanish) and under research protocols with the Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM), as well as other public and private institutions.
RPs are the result of different research and development lines that are managed, such as: Development of new Pharmaceutical and Biological products, their possible improvements, as well as production and Quality control methods, in addition to the evaluation of field products.

Visiting customers and their facilities
- At the request of the owners, doctors and managers of livestock farms, we make visits to their facilities to make technical recommendations, in order to help the client solve health and zootechnical problems.
- We also offer biosafety consulting and auditing services to clients on the proper use and management of biological and pharmaceutical products.
- We offer technical support to representatives and distributors in prevention, treatment and control of diseases and strengthening biosecurity programs in livestock farms.We regularly address the questions and concerns of product users.
- We recommend laboratory studies to conduct monitoring and clinical field cases follow-up for the Integration of diagnosis and recommendation of zootechnical measures and pharmaceutical and/or biological products.
- We perform joint planning and execution of field tests with the customer’s technical staff.
Pathology and Quality Control Laboratory
- Clinical tests: Blood count, quantification of: calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, total plasma proteins, direct and total bilirubin serum and urea serum.
- Macroscopic Pathology: Evaluation and description of lesions at necropsy.
- Microbiology: Veterinary Clinic Bacteriology, Mycology, Virology, environmental and food bacteriology.
- Serology: Hemagglutination Inhibition Testing, Plate Agglutination test, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), plate microagglutination, tube microagglutination.
- Histopathology: Description of microscopic pathology, establishing the diagnosis based on the set of observed lesions and relationships that are maintained between each other.
- Quality control: Potency and sterility tests of biological and pharmaceutical products.
- Confirmation of diagnosis of poultry, pigs, cattle and other species diseases.
- Susceptibility and MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration).
- Bacteriological analysis of food treated with PECFORMIN®.
- Residual concentration of PECFORMIN® in treated food.

Field support
Quick diagnosis tests using immunochromatography, with makes possible the immediate detection of the presence of the following diseases: Newcastle disease, Avian Influenza, Infectious Bronchitis and Gumboro disease.
Vaccination Equipment
- Pneumatic poultry vaccinators.
- Equipment for mass vaccination through spraying.
- Continuous pipetting syringes for application of inactivated vaccines.
- Syringes for application of vaccines through wing puncturing.

Our history
Decade of 60's
Pecuarius Laboratorios was founded as the Pathology Lab of the Association of Poultry Farmers of Valle del Yaqui in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, and it has been a pioneer in vaccine development in Mexico since the early 80s.
Decade of 80's
Pecuarius Laboratorios begins to extend its activities to the production of an extensive line of pharmaceutical and an efficient line of disinfectants and food additives.
2007
Lloyd's Register Quality Assessment successful Audit accredits Pecuarius as a supplier for customer BACHOCO.
AVQ Consultoría Integral successful audit for supplier certification for Japan exports for customer SONORA AGROPECUARIA S.A. DE C.V.
Pecuarius receives certification in Good Manufacturing Practices issued by SAGARPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food, its acronym is Spanish).
2008
It begins the Renovation of the production plant and the finished product Warehouse.
2009
Start exports to Belize.
2010
Pecuarius opens new production plant with avant-garde technology.
2011
Pecuarius achieved sales growth at the triple of its sales value in 5 years.
2012
Start exports to Panama.
2013
Pecuarius receives the Social Responsibility ESR Badge.
2014
Pecuarius certifies its Quality System under the criteria of ISO 9001: 2008 through Interconformity, a certification authority.
